Youth MHFA Mark of Excellence
The Youth MHFA Mark of Excellence is awarded to organisations to recognise their continuing commitment to the emotional and mental health of their young people and staff as well as exemplary joint working with community stakeholders and partners. The mark is a measure of quality and exemplary practice.
To acquire the mark you would need to:
- Ensure that a percentage of the organisations staff are trained Youth mental health first aiders
- Demonstrate the active steps taken to enhance a young person's emotional well-being
- Demonstrate the organisation is communicating to all on the practical steps to support a young person when needed
- Develop a support mechanism for staff in their roles as Youth Mental Health First Aiders
The mark is awarded for 3 years and organisations will need to complete an annual check that criteria are still being met. The cost is £100 per organisation.
Upon acquiring the Mark the organisation will be given a certificate, use of the Mark of Excellence logo and the statement to show their commitment as above.
