This course is ideal for organisations who wish to train their employees to ‘support’ existing mental health first aiders (MHFA), as well as empowering individuals to increase their own wellbeing and reduce stigma. This course focuses on mental health in the workplace and associated strategy and legislation. To gain the full skill set of an MHFAider you must attend the two-day course. Adult MHFA courses are for everyone aged 16 upwards. This one-day mental health awareness and skills course qualifies you as an Adult MHFA Champion. MHFA Champions have: • An understanding of common mental health issues • Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness • Ability to spot signs of mental ill health • Skills to support positive wellbeing Course fees include: • An evidence-based manual for each learner, workbooks and all training materials, Lanyards and action cards. Certificates and on-going support and advice with integrating MHFA into your organisation. Concessions for groups or voluntary sector workers. Lovely venue with free parking and a cafe, refreshments included. Experienced instructor with outstanding feedback. Most of our groups develop a bond and keep in touch following the training which is testimony to the inclusive space we create. A serious subject matter yet chortles of laughter are often herd from outside the training, only benefiting the learning journey. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. On-site training for all staff is a more cost-effective option. We can also arrange the venue with free parking and hot or cold lunch to suit your schedule. This course also informs employers about discrimination litigation and how to safely and appropriately support their workforce.
