The MHFA England Instructor Training programme qualifies you to deliver one of our Two Day products only (Adult, Youth, or Armed Forces). Once you have been fully signed off as an approved instructor in your chosen Two Day product (and have completed two co-deliveries as part of your sign off process), you will then have the option to attend a CPD to add One Day and Half Day courses to your range, or apply for extension training to qualify in another Two Day product.

Extension and conversion training

If you're already an MHFA England instructor and want to add another Two Day course (Adult, Youth, or Armed Forces) to your delivery portfolio, you won't need to complete the whole programme again. Instead you will complete the first five days of the relevant programme as an extension delegate. You will then need to co-deliver two of the relevant MHFA England courses with another instructor and receive good feedback to become approved. The cost of extension training is £1,626 (inc VAT) per person.

If you’re already an approved MHFA instructor in another country or another region of the UK and would like to deliver MHFA courses in England, you can complete the first five days of the relevant programme as a conversion delegate. The cost of conversion training is £813 (inc VAT) per person.

How to apply:

CPD stands for continuing professional development and our CPD opportunities are designed to help you develop your skills as an instructor.

Our three hour CPD training sessions will prepare you to deliver a One Day or Half Day version of the Two Day course you are approved in. Adding these additional courses to your portfolio enables you to reach a wider audience and increase mental health awareness further.

To view the CPD opportunities currently available and reserve your place, log into your instructor dashboard.

If you are an instructor in training, your Instructor Training programme counts as your CPD until you are approved. After you have completed your two codeliveries and been signed off as an approved instructor, you will then be able to register for our CPD events via your dashboard.
