Our training, consultancy, and campaigning are helping organisations create workplace cultures that foster mentally healthy, high-performing, and productive teams.
Since MHFA England was founded in 2007, our Instructor Members have provided training to over 20,000 workplaces equating to over one million people in England. Together, we’re transforming how we talk about and support mental health in the workplace and beyond.
Organisations we work with have seen increases of up to 75% in referrals for common mental health issues to their occupational health services, showing staff feel they can talk more freely about their mental health and seek support when they need it. Better understanding of mental health and less stigma ripples out into communities.
As a company without shareholders, we reinvest our profits into providing quality mental health training to those who need it most. That includes the NHS and community groups that support young people.
To deepen the positive impact MHFAiders are already making, the Association of Mental Health First Aiders® brings them together in one diverse and inclusive community, ensuring that they are supported in their role, long after training has ended.
“Being an MHFAider gives me the confidence to support people that I would have avoided approaching in the past for fear that I wouldn't know what to say to them. That gives me a sense of being a valuable member of my organisation.” Anastasia Talatzidou, MHFAider.
