Mental Health Awareness Week is run by the Mental Health Foundation. In 2026 it takes place from 11 May – 17 May. The theme is ‘Action’, and it asks people to take action to support good mental health.
Most adults spend at least a third of their time at work. That’s why we are focusing on simple actions that can improve workplace mental health.
Awareness matters, but without action, change doesn’t happen. We can all contribute to creating mentally healthy and inclusive workplaces. To help you achieve this, we have developed three new resources to encourage action on workplace mental health across the whole employee lifecycle – one for employers, one for employees, and one for managers.
Employer action for better workplace mental health
Employee action for better workplace mental health
Manager action for better workplace mental health
Share these with your colleagues and on your social media channels to demonstrate your commitment to taking action.
What better way to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week than by demonstrating to your employees that their mental health matters. Our training courses equip your people with the skills to spot the warning signs of poor mental health in themselves and others. We help build confidence to talk about mental health. And we provide the knowledge about support services you can use or signpost people to.
We’re not just the national authority on mental health first aid. We’re workplace mental health experts too, with nearly two decades of experience and a deep understanding of workplace cultures. We drive meaningful change, transforming workplaces across the UK and around the world.
