Following the NHS's commitment to 'a major transformation of mental health care' announced earlier this week, Mental Health First Aid instructor Kathryn Grant has been featured in a number of news items on perinatal mental health.

Kathryn spoke to Nicky Campbell on BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast (at about 1:05 into the programme), appeared on Good Morning Britain alongside Jonny Benjamin (at 0:20), and was featured on Victoria Derbyshire with her son James (at 1:25) as well as on BBC News.

The week of media appearances is part of Kathryn's ongoing campaign for perinatal mental health services. Kathryn, who now directs the Perinatal Mental Health Partnership and represents the charity Action on Postpartum Psychosis, bravely speaks out about her experience of postpartum psychosis and the care she received. We would like to congratulate Kathryn on her excellent work promoting understanding, awareness, and access to mental health support for new mothers.
