This week Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England CEO, Poppy Jaman, featured on journalist and mental health advocate Bryony Gordon’s highly popular Telegraph podcast, Mad World.

Previous participants have included mental health campaigners from different walks of life including Stephen Fry, Fearne Cotton, Sue Baker, Prince Harry, Mandy Stevens and Will Young – all sharing their personal stories and experiences of mental ill health.

Poppy joined Bryony to discuss a wide range of topics including her journey as a co-founder of MHFA England and her experiences of racism and depression.

Speaking about her approach as mental health campaigner, Poppy says, "My activism is education, I'll sit down and have a conversation with anybody, about any of this stuff. It's not about winning and it's not about arguing who is right and wrong. It's just about having conversations that explore what you think, what I think and see where that takes us."
