St John Ambulance is once again on the look out for everyday heroes as part of it's annual awards initiative. The awards showcase the incredible impact of physical first aid and, for the first time, Mental Health First Aid England training, in society. This is through the actions of people in local communities, workplaces, as well as young people.

The awards are split into four categories: Community Heroes, Young Heroes, Workplace Heroes, and Volunteer Heroes. This year, Mental Health First Aiders are represented in the Community and Workplace awards.

If you know someone who has used Mental Health First Aid skills to help others in a time of need, you can nominate them for an award to celebrate their achievements.

The finalists from each category will have the opportunity to attend the awards night, where their achievements are recognised and celebrated.

This year's awards will take place at Hilton London Bankside on Monday 7 October 2019 and will be hosted by Reverand Richard Coles.

Nominations are open until Friday 14 June.
