I am A Reregistered Mental Health Nurse and a Consultant for St Johns Ambulance who has delivered Mental Health First Aid courses for the last 3 years to large corporate companies across the uk. I become passionate about improving understanding and awareness of mental illness when close people to me have experiencing mental health issues which led me to become a mental health nurse then mental health first aid instructor then this directed me then onto be a public speaker at numerous events as well to the mainstream media.

I am a mental health nurse with an acute setting, day centre Hospital and Dementia ward background.
I developed my skills of working with the person centred approach, developing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with service users. I also understand and developed my communication skills between myself, multi- disciplinary team and colleagues.
I work with and understood the Mental Health Act; I took part in planning, implementing and assessing patients detained under various sections of the Mental Health Act. I similarly developed my skills of assessing capacity and working with the Capacity Act 2005.
I have a comprehensive knowledge of medication; their uses, side effects and dosages. I am aware of and worked alongside local medication and national policies.
Also I am aware of the legal implications of medication and the Mental Health Act.
