<p style="text-align:justify">I have a wealth experience in the healthcare sector. Supporting individuals with enduring mental health problems, personality disorders and learning needs. I am very passionate about reducing stigma and supporting workplaces to understand, support and empower individuals with mental health needs. With the statistics highlighting the cost to UK business due to mental health challenges, it is important to promote resilience and wellbeing at work. Offering healthy workplaces can promote wellness and productivity.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">I set up my own company providing training to healthcare providers and businesses In October 2018 and relly want to make a difference to peoples practices. I am a gret believeing in 'knowledge is power' and I want businesses to have the knowledge about mental health so they can use their power to make change!</p>

<p><strong>October 2018-</strong></p>

<p>I took the plunge and started my own training business in November 2018. We specialise in training around wellbeing, mental health and resilience. Currently, we provide resilience and wellbeing training to healthcare and business settings with mental health first aid being a wonderful addition that we are excited to deliver. As lead trainer I am highly motivated to enhance people’s/team wellbeing and I’m so passionate about creating kind, supportive and productive workplaces. Support and compassion creates a wealth of opportunity and productivity. </p>

<p><u><strong>Wellbeing and mental health advisor</strong></u></p>

<p><strong>November 2018- </strong></p>

<p>I advise companies on mental health policy and on methods to evaluate wellbeing strategy. Clients include a mental health charity and large corporate business. </p>

<p><u>Assessment</u><br />
Assessment of the needs of individuals with enduring mental health problems. Assessment methods include evidence based neuropsychological testing, psychometric testing, interviews with clients and the review of collateral information. Completion of collaborative risk assessments, engaging clients in the process to support them to understand their needs and their goals for the future</p>

<p><u>Formulation</u><br />
Development of interpretive collaborative formulation following the assessment period. </p>

<u>Treatment</u><br />
Developing individual and group treatment based on formulation of needs. Guided by the therapeutic relationship built with clients. Support individuals to improve their own agency by engaging in a range of therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy (ST). Supporting individual clients to develop an understanding of their values and to enable them to develop goals to live in line by them in prosocial and healthy ways. </p>

<p><u>MDT working</u><br />
Attendance at ward rounds, care plans review meetings, tribunals and Multi Agency Public Protection (MAPPA) meetings. Communicating needs of the client whilst considering risk management and public protection. </p>

<p><u>Training</u><br />
Providing extensive training for nursing staff members. Training includes:- risk assessment, autism, learning disabilities and sexual offenders. Development of “Building resilience” training. </p>

<p><u>Audit/Research</u><br />
Completion of audits and research. Research topics include nursing teams experiences of supervision. Service provision audits. </p>

<p><u>Reporting risk </u><br />
Reporting any key risk indicators in line with ethical guidance. Ensuring the safety of clients and the public. Collaborative working with the police.<br />
