Personal Details

Dawn Miller Donkin established Edu-c8 Inspired Training to make a positive difference in people’s lives through training and education. Dawn has 20 years of experience of working in mental health care alongside health and social care sectors. This invaluable knowledge reflects the quality of Edu-c8’s training courses.

Her passion is to raise mental health awareness and reduce the stigma it can have. The MHFA training she provides will empower individuals to look after their own wellbeing and understand and promote mental health in the workplace and the wider community as a whole.

Dawn is very proud to be part of the MHFA community and is an approved Adult MHFA instructor for the Mental Health First Aid Two Day course, On - line MHFA, the MHFA Champion One Day course, MHFA refresher course and the Mental Health Aware Half Day course. Alongside our open course, we can offer in-house training.

Work Experience

Dawn worked in the health and social care sector for over 20 years, predominately in residential care homes and supported living services for adults with learning disabilities and mental illness, for many years Dawn was a registered home manager.

Prior to starting her own company Dawns career changed direction in 2015 which enabled her to share a wealth of experience and knowledge and joined a national training provider endorsed by skills for care developing and  delivering courses  from general mandatory subjects to more specialised subjects such as learning disability awareness, Mental health awareness & Autism awareness, Epilepsy, Prader-Willi-Syndrome, Behaviours that challenge to all levels of staff within health and social care provider organisations, local authorities and housing associations.
