Personal Details
I've delivered over a thousand courses since my accreditation as a Mental Health First Aid instructor in 2011 and in that time have helped countless people and organisations learn the skills to keep themselves and others mentally safe and well. I founded Blossom Mental Health Training in 2015 after many years of working in Learning and Development.
I'm passionate about suicide prevention; my mission is to break down the stigma surrounding mental ill-health, increase awareness of common mental health challenges and educate people on how to spot the signs of overwhelm in themselves and others that often lead to thoughts of suicide.
I aim to add value to my courses by openly sharing my own lived experience, and pride myself on creating a safe and compassionate environment for others to explore the most sensitive of topics.
Work Experience
I'm an experienced and knowledgeable facilitator accredited in all aspects of mental health and suicide prevention, and a highly effective and skilled communicator engaging people across all levels of the organisation. I have a proven track record of supporting organisations to develop effective mental health strategies and a wealth of experience in designing bespoke courses that help organisations to meet their training needs in an engaging and interactive way. I specialise in supporting male-dominated industries including construction and utilities.
As well as an MHFA England instructor member I'm an Associate Trainer and member of the MHFAE National Training Team.
