Personal Details

I'm on a mission to get workplaces talking about mental health and other challenging topics. I’m also passionate about enabling others to find a way to grow and thrive, not ‘in spite of’, but due to our challenges - we’re more capable and courageous than we think, we just need the right guidance, emotional intelligence and tools to hand.

What drove me to specialise in this area was my own rollercoaster journey supporting a daughter through mental health challenges and a need to share evidence-based and strategies so we find our unique pathway and build resilience in an ever-changing noisy world.

Back in the UK after 2 years in Australia delivering to diverse teams I strive to bring a local, friendly experience with an international reach!

My pragmatic, down-to-earth and compassionate approach, engages participants to explore deeply uncomfortable topics, including suicide in a safe and more comfortable way, whilst still being allowed to have fun while we learn!

I advocate joint responsibility (individual and employer) as part of an organisational strategy to build a mentally healthy workplace.

Work Experience

A Learning & Development professional with 30 years’ experience delivering training in a range of business settings, I’m equally comfortable at the sharp end (stations, call centres, depots, head offices and porta-cabins!), as well as the boardroom and I understand there’s no ‘one size fits all’ and customise training accordingly.

I have worked with a wonderful range of UK and International organisations (corporate, government and charities) including: Surrey UK councils (and Bayside in Victoria Australia), Network Rail, Eurostar International, TAG, Volker Fitzpatrick Voluntary Services Overseas, St Vincent de Paul, YANA farming charity and Tesser Korah college, a Jewish Orthodox school.

My experience as a trustee and facilitator of support groups of a mental health charity, and a member of several NHS working groups around suicide prevention and post-vention, ensures practical tools and real-life experiences and are at the heart of my delivery.
