<p>I have worked for YMCA Birmingham for 10 years and during that time I have fulfilled a number of roles working with and helping, not only our clients within the YMCA, but the Young People of Birmingham.<br />
I have a real desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives which has lead me to become a qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.<br />
My passion lies in being able to show people how to spot early signs of a mental health illness, including warning signs of common mental health issues , how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person towards appropriate treatment and other sources of supportive help.<br />
I want to work with businesses to help them understand the issues that face not only those suffering with mental health issues but also those around and supporting them.</p>

Work Experience
<p>My current role as a trainer for the YMCA involves me delivering various courses ranging from Employability programmes, bespoke training courses and qualifications. As part of this role, I have now embarked on my Mental Health First Aid Instructor training which has been a real passion of mine for many years.</p>
<p>My previous roles are all within YMCA Birmingham where i have worked as an Engagement Officer offering support and guidance to the residents within our supported living scheme. I specialised in supporting the lone parents and their children who had identified support needs including mental health. </p>
