I have lived experience of mental health and I fully understand the day to day challenge for many living with a mental illness. My hope is to be able to assist others to be able to support children and young people with their mental health needs. I am the Company Director of Sarah Henry Safeguarding SHS.

Work Experience

I have worked in the Public Sector for the vast majority of my career. My work experience has taken me on a privileged journey through a diverse range of safeguarding professions as both a frontline practitioner and in a managerial capacity. Having worked in a number of settings with vulnerable adults, children and young people, I have acquired both practical work experience and a theoretical understanding. I originally trained as a Youth Worker and worked in outreach and Youth Club Settings. I then entered into working Criminal Justice System where supporting adults with their mental health needs was a key part of my role as a Probation Services Officer and Youth Offending Team Officer. Later on I went on to manage Children Centres and an Integrated Early Help Hub supporting children, young people and their families . I have also managed a Local Authority Domestic Abuse Team who were located in a Police Station.
I was the Multi-Agency Trainer for a district wide Local Safeguarding Children Board , a role where I co-ordinated and delivered a comprehensive training package to a multi agency audience. I am now the Company Director of Sarah Henry Safeguarding Consultancy Ltd.
