Following a successful round of engagement with a variety of external stakeholders across multiple sectors and with diverse lived experiences, MHFA England® has drafted a set of Workplace Mental Health First Aid Standards.

These standards are informed by MHFA England’s experience as the national authority on Mental Health First Aid, since our inception in 2007. They’ve been informed by the views and suggestions of stakeholders, including the voices of over 4,000 MHFAiders®, to help employers embed Mental Health First Aid effectively, consistently, and sustainably across their organisations.

We’re now opening a public consultation on the draft standards to seek views from employers, employees, MHFAiders, MHFA England Instructor Members, policymakers, unions, professional bodies, and anyone with an interest in workplace mental health.

Your feedback will help us refine and strengthen the standards before they’re finalised.

The consultation will remain open until Wednesday 10 December 2025.
