We are delighted to announce that we have been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ (2022) today by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture. This comes just two months after winning one of the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing.


As a mental health social enterprise, we want to lead by example and are proud that our approach to staff mental health and wellbeing has been recognised. We are committed to rewarding our employees with competitive pay, flexible working, a supportive environment, opportunities for development and a promise to put staff’s wellbeing first by providing two wellbeing breaks throughout the year.


As part of our vision to train one in ten of the adult population in mental health skills and knowledge, earlier this year we launched Startwell, our new diagnostic service. Startwell supports organisations to unlock the value of positive employee mental health, by creating empowering and actionable mental health roadmaps. As part of the planning and launch of Startwell, we piloted the project internally and implemented many of the recommendations.


Today’s announcement demonstrates the positive impact Startwell can have on an organisation’s mental health and wellbeing strategy, and we hope that many will follow suit.


A great workplace is more than perks and benefits and whilst we of course offer many of these elements, Startwell has allowed us to create a positive workplace culture that supports inclusivity, equity and empowers employees to bring their whole self to work.

To determine the 2022 UK's Best Workplaces™ list, Great Place to Work® performed evaluations of hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit™ submissions, from leaders at each company. They then used these data insights to benchmark the effectiveness of companies' employee value propositions against the culture their employees actually experience.


Those businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
