Personal Details
<p>I am currently working as a freelance Mental Health First Aid Instructor. I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne but I have training contracts in the East Midlands and I am happy to travel to deliver courses. I have been working with people with mental health problems since1992 in a variety of roles in the voluntary and statutory sectors; as a counsellor, a trainer, in education – designing and delivering courses for people with mental health problems and supporting students with additional needs on college courses. I have delivered Adult Mental Heath First Aid courses in the housing, construction, education and off-shore sectors. I trained as an instructor in 2013. I have a PGCE, a degree in Human Resource Management from Derby University and a counselling diploma. I am passionate about improving mental wellbeing for myself and others.</p>

Work Experience
<p>I was employed by Derbyshire Mind from 2008 to December 2016 in several roles, the ultimate one being as Training and Community Development Manager My projects included managing Enjoying Derby – Enjoying Life, a weekly programme of health walks. I also worked as a trainer in a team delivering awareness courses for the NHS.</p>
Qualifications
<p>I am a qualified and experienced tutor and group facilitator with a PGCE from Nottingham Trent University. I completed my instructor training in 2013. I am currently delivering MHFA Adult Two day, one day and half day courses, Aware and Refresher.</p> Youth MHFA
