<p>A practicing public health professional, occupational health advisor, health & wellbeing specialist practitioner, Mental Health First Aid instructor and appointed as a MHFA England CIC, workplace associate. Julie has extensive experience in working in a variety of settings within, charity groups, local authorities, NHS and corporate & financial sectors and organizations. Qualifying as a RGN nurse over 28 years ago, Julie has continued to build her mental health, public health expertise, and commercial experience. She has demonstrated her commitment and passion to Mental Health and Public health nursing along the lifespan in a varied number of locations.</p>

<p>Julie is registered as a specialist practitioner on part 3 of the NMC register and as an accredited MHFA England instructor who has undergone a training programme accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health, London. Julie’s employment experience is varied and includes organisations such as, local councils, NHS, private healthcare groups, and community sectors. In addition to Primary and Secondary schools, charity groups, multinational commercial companies such as: SCA Hygiene Products, Abbott Laboratories, Fresenius, Siemens Healthcare, as well as the commercial banking sector.</p>

<p>Although Julie has worked with a joint focus over recent years in public health /occupational health and wellbeing in the working age groups, Julie has strived to work to make a difference in mental health across the lifespan in all sectors and in schools along the lifespan. Julie’s passion, is to raise mental health awareness and increase knowledge across all sectors through her work.</p>

<p>Julie’s work as an independent health and wellbeing consultant, tackles the nation’s dominant public health challenges by offering bespoke packages, mental health awareness training, occupational health and wellbeing consultancy services, and enthusiastically delivering MHFA England accredited courses: MHFA Standard, MHFA lite, and soon to offer MHFA Youth. As a public health specialist, Julie is zealous about the MHFA England initiative and the positive impact it can have on: employers, leader’s ability to support their employees, managers at all levels, teacher’s ability to manage their stress and, identify signs in order to signpost pupils, individual children, families and service users.</p>
