My own past mental health issues and working with mental health charities, has highlighted the need to raise mental health awareness. Many of us are talking more openly about it, but there is still a long way to go to normalise conversations about mental health at work and to stop stigma.
During the midst of the COVID pandemic following a life changing experience I was inspired to set up a campaign. Walk N Talk 4 Mental Health showcases the importance of walking and talking for better mental health.
A good walk can do wonders for mental wellbeing. Walking and talking work very naturally together and walking with other people can make us feel more connected reducing loneliness and isolation.
If you’re not comfortable talking about anxiety, depression, OCD, panic attacks, bi-polar, eating disorders, post-natal depression, or anything else that falls under the vast umbrella of mental health, don't worry. Nobody is to begin with. It’s an uncomfortable, difficult subject. The fact is: it shouldn’t be. And it’s only going to become less difficult if people stand up and say ‘Hey, I’m here. Talk to me. I might not understand what you’re going through, but I’ll do my best. And I’ll sure as hell listen’.

Work Experience

Jude is a passionate trainer, facilitator and speaker with over 10 years of experience of delivering training, workshops, presentations and events.
Experiences include working in a variety of settings within, charity groups, corporate & financial sectors and organisations.

Drawing on life experience, with an enquiring mind and a creative outlook allows Jude to motivate and inspire individuals and teams alike. “A personal story of overcoming adversity is a journey I hope will inspire people to challenge themselves and use their own inner resources.”

As a MHFA instructor, I want to encourage others to train as mental health first aiders and to show what a positive impact managing your own mental health and supporting others can have.

Recent Testimonial.
"The topic of mental health is not something that is often talked about within the legal sector, whilst being prevalent within law firms. Since Jude’s workshop, mental health and wellbeing has been discussed at a number of departmental meetings and within offices. Jude’s words have helped to raise awareness of mental health issues and encouraged communication between staff and directors.

Judes enthusiasm for the subject combined with her wonderful personality resulted in an exceptional and uplifting atmosphere.

I will be recommending Jude to local law firms and businesses without any hesitation and I look forward to working with Jude in the future."
