Cost: £75 per person Imagine Independence is a leading Merseyside Mental Health Charity that offers a range of mental health and wellbeing courses. We are pleased to be able to deliver Adult MHFA instruction as one of our MHFA England courses. Our instructor Antony Dowell consistently receives excellent training reviews, has over 20 years’ experience of working in Mental Health services in the charity sector, and is an experienced line manager. Embedding MHFA training within any organisation or community also encourages people to talk more freely about mental health, reducing stigma and creating a more positive culture. This one day mental health awareness and skills course qualifies your employees as MHFA Champions, giving them: • Knowledge and confidence to provide Mental Health First Aid for the most common mental health issues • An understanding of how to help build a mentally healthy workplace, challenge stigma and support positive wellbeing Format • One day face to face course • Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities • We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn Takeaways Everyone who completes the course gets: • A certificate of attendance to say they are an MHFA Champion • A manual to refer to whenever they need it • A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan • A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health • A copy of the Line Managers' Resource, an invaluable source of advice on how to support an employee experiencing mental ill health • 9am to 5pm.
